On behalf of The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church, my wife and I welcome you to our church family. We are a family that lives to worship and praise the God of our salvation.

212 North Progress Avenue
Harrisburg, PA 17109

The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church, a multi-cultural, multi-ethic church founded on November 6, 1895, which boasts over one-thousand active members, has served Harrisburg and the surrounding areas for over 107 years. One of our primary beliefs has been and still is, "that we are saved to serve, not to be served."

Sunday Worship Service

With that in mind, our church now serves this community with more than seventy (70) ministries, providing assistance to the homeless, the elderly, the incarcerated, the singles, couples, parents, bereaved, chemical dependent, the hungry, those affected by mental illness and those in need of food and clothing. Additionally, we heavily invest in our youth with multiple ministries that assist in their spiritual, physical, emotional, and educational development.

We are elated that you have taken a moment to read about what we pray will become your new spiritual home. Stop by and visit us anytime or better yet, we encourage you to become an active part of this branch of Zion.

We believe that God desires for each of us to grow in His grace and develop our relationship with Him. We want to help you in that regard! If we may serve you in any way, please let us know. We are looking forward to sharing God's blessings together.

"But Grow in Grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. To HIM BE GLORY both now and forever, Amen." II Peter 3:18
